Synchronizing with the Central Maven Repository
... is not fun at all. I carefully followed the (new) guidelines on how to get it all done, filed the issue, and have been waiting ever since. No activity at all. I tried getting some people vote to see if that made a difference, but so far nothing has happened yet. (Feel free to vote though. Perhaps it helps.)
This is annoying, since I planned to have my project in the central Maven repository before JavaOne. It seems that I can just forget about that.
There has to be a better way to scale the whole process. If you would just be providing upload bundles, then getting it in the central Maven repository is expected to take no less than 4 weeks. That is, if all works out well.

I'm starting to wonder if it would be possible to upload my artifacts to one of my other repositories (Blammo or Docbkx Tools repository). I suspect there is something there to prevent me from doing that, but then again, it might just work.
